How to Get to Hotel MOTTO
From Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Main Train Station)
To get from Wien Hauptbahnhof to Hotel MOTTO, you can take either the bus, subway or a taxi.
Taking the bus and getting a taxi are the most direct transport options. Bus 13A leaves from outside of the station and drops off right in front of the hotel, and there’s plenty of taxis waiting outside the station. I also recommend downloading the ride share app, Bolt, which has pretty good rates for getting around the city.
To take the subway hop on the U1 subway line to Stephansplatz then transfer to the U3 line towards Ottakring getting off at Neubaugasse. The hotel is adjacent to the station once you exit.
From Vienna International Airport (VIE)
The options to get from Vienna International Airport to the hotel are similar.
You can take the S7 train to Landstraße station and then transfer to the U3 subway line following the same instructions as above.
There’s also taxis available or you can arrange a private transfer directly with Hotel MOTTO.
Checking in at Hotel Motto in Vienna
Upon arriving at Hotel MOTTO, you’ll enter into the lobby which has a cozy seating area complete with pink sofas, armchairs, and some visually fun wallpaper. Opposite of the seating area is the check in desk, where we were greeted by a lovely staff member.
The check in process was quick and straightforward, and finished off with a welcome beverage, which of course I took advantage of. Nothing says, “welcome” like a classic gin and tonic.
Our Room at Hotel Motto
I stayed in a beautiful “Chic” class room during my stay. The room perfectly blends Parisian charm and Scandinavian functionality. With its thoughtfully curated decor, the room features a plush king bed fitted with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linens, bespoke finishes, and artistic touches that make it a stylish retreat.
The bathroom is a unique, open concept with a walk-in, rainfall shower and single vanity. If you’re traveling with friends, and want some privacy, there’s thick white curtains that can be drawn to close off the shower and sink area. The toilet is located in a separate water closet next to the coffee station.
Other Room Features:
- 43” flatscreen smart TV
- Saint Charles Pharmacy toiletries
- 1950s inspired Roberts Revival smart radio
- Large windows offering plenty of natural light
- Well stocked minibar with snacks and ingredients to craft your own cocktails (fees apply)

Dining at Hotel MOTTO
CHEZ BERNARD
CHEZ BERNARD is a bar and restaurant located on the 7th floor of the hotel. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open daily until 1:00 am (midnight on Sundays). Click here for more details on operating hours.
The restaurant is spacious and features a gorgeous, mid-century bar and large diamond shaped windows giving diners beautiful views of Vienna. There’s also a rooftop terrace that will be reopening with service and food in 2025.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast at CHEZ BERNARD our first morning in the hotel. I got the Motto Sourdough Bread, the restaurant’s version of avocado toast and the iced chai latte while my friend got the fresh fruits with yogurt and the pick me up juice blend.
Breakfast is not included in the cost of the room and it’s recommended to make reservations.
Book a Table at CHEZ BERNARD
Random Note: Our room was on the 5th floor of the hotel, and when we got off the elevator there was a strong food smell in the hallway. As I’m writing this post, I’m realizing it’s probably because we were two floors beneath the restaurant. It wasn’t horrible but something worth mentioning.
