There are plenty of things to do in Vegas besides gamble. Although I do like trying my luck at the pai gow tables and slots, I do also enjoy spending time doing other things outside of the casinos. Las Vegas High Roller Observation Wheel at The Linq
3545 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
High Roller is the largest ferris wheel in North America, and the 2nd largest ferris wheel in the world. At 550 feet tall and a 520 feet diameter, it takes about 30 minutes to complete a rotation. Some pods are equipped with a bar, and you can even book a happy hour ticket which includes an open bar for $65. The views are stunning and it’s worth going at least once.
Seven Magic Mountains
S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89054
Seven Magic Mountains is an art installation by artist Ugo Rondinone. Located about 10 miles south of Las Vegas, you’ve more than likely seen these colorful rocks all over Instagram. They made their debut back in 2016 and were meant to be up for 2 years, but with their popularity, the pillars are still standing. If you want to get pictures without tons of people around, get there early or just be patient as there are waves of people coming and going.

Area15 is a very cool immersive arts and entertainment venue. The building houses Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, VR simulations, an arcade, ax throwing, and more! With so many things to do in one place, you can easily spend hours at Area15. There’s also a couple of eateries and places to grab drinks.
Fremont Street Experience
425 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101
Fremont Street is a must if it’s your first time in Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience is a . Every hour from 6 PM – 1 AM (sometimes 2 AM) Fremont comes alive with a video show set to different artists. At 9 PM and 1 AM there are premium shows which include 3D visuals. My family has been going to Vegas since I was a baby and I still enjoy checking out Fremont Street.
M&M World
3785 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Located by the MGM Grand and across the street from New York-New York Hotel & Park MGM, M&M World is a Las Vegas staple. Stop by to get your hands on some unique M&Ms as well as souvenirs and toys. You can also get some custom printed M&Ms with special letters or photos on them.
Visit the Emerald Cove
Emerald Cove is about an hour outside of Las Vegas. It’s super pretty spot along the Colorado River made famous for its beautiful green color. Rent a paddle board or glass kayak, or take a tour to explore this unique spot.

There’s tons of amazing shows to see in Las Vegas. Cirque du Soleil has a bunch from “O“, Mystère, to Love ( a tribute to The Beatles). If you ever watch America’s Best Dance Crew, the Jabbawokeez also have a show. If you’re not into theatrical shows, plenty of artists have residencies in Vegas as well.
Visit the Famous ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ Sign
5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Located literally in the middle of the street, the famous ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign is a popular tourist attraction in Las Vegas. You’ll have to get there early to beat the crowds, or patiently wait your turn to get your picture in front of the sign.

Free to do and a good way to get some steps in, walking the strip is one of the most popular things to do in Vegas besides gamble. Also, there’s no open container laws so you can walk around with drinks. Stop by one of the many Fat Tuesdays for a delicious frozen drink, and sip on it as you walk around.
Omega Mart (Meow Wolf Las Vegas)
3215 S Rancho Dr #100, Las Vegas, NV 89102
Located inside Area15, Omega Mart is an immersive and interactive art installation. The installation is by Meow Wolf, a Santa Fe based arts and entertainment company, who also created the Meow Wolf art space/installation in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Omega Mart is kind of hard to describe, and it’s better experienced for yourself. Tickets are a little on the pricey side. Adults are $57, children are $50, and children under 3 are free.
Neon Museum
770 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV 89101
About a 4 minute drive or 15 minute walk from Fremont Street, the Neon Museum is a collection of vintage casino and business signs from throughout Vegas’s history. The museum is outdoors and spans a little under 3 acres of land. Open from 4PM – 12AM daily, there are a variety of tours to take. Depending on the tour, tickets range from $20-$45 for adults, $10-$22 for children 7-17, and children under 6 are free. We paid $45 for the Double the Glow Experience which included a 45 minute tour of the Main Boneyard, and a 45-minute Brilliant Jackpot! Show in the North Gallery. If you want to get pictures with the signs I’d recommend going when the sun is still up, but if you want to see them lit, go at night.

There are so many good places to eat in Las Vegas. The city is definitely a foodie’s dream. Whatever you’re in the mood for, Vegas is sure to have it. From gourmet burgers to seafood to culinary experiences, there is no shortage of amazing food spots.
The Coca-Cola Store
3785 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Similar to M&M world and only a few doors down, the Coca-Cola Store in Las Vegas is somewhere to pick up branded souvenirs and gifts. There’s also a tasting shop on the 2nd floor where you can try different Coke products from around the world that aren’t available in-store in the states.
See the Bellagio Fountains
3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (Bellagio Hotel)
The Bellagio Fountains are easily one of the most iconic sites in Las Vegas. Every day over 1000 fountains shoot high in the sky, performing a synchronized routine to different musical scores. You can catch a show Monday – Friday, every 30 minute 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and every 15 minutes 8:00 PM to 12 AM. On the weekends shows run every 30 minutes from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and every 15 minutes 8:00 PM to 12 AM.

If you’re looking to leave the strip behind, consider taking a Pink Jeep Tour. With hotel pick up available, you don’t need a car.
